THE PAINTERS OF LIGHT.
From Caravaggio to Paolini.
The city of Lucca hostes the show, the painters of light, edited by Vittorio Sgarbi, in Ex Cavallerizza.
There will be more than 1000 works coming from the main italian museums and from very precious religious collections, private and international.
The show is called impossible, be able to tell with the masterpieces of '600 the role of light by Caravaggio (first director of Art history) until to Pietro Paolini (lucchese character of new naturalistic school).
"The show starts by the Caravaggio Revolution, circumstantial, with the presence of a work very remarkable as the Cavadenti, about this Paolini had to reflect, testyfing the most complete coherence between the painters of light." (Vittorio Sgarbi)
